Santa visit

The girls celebrated the final night of Hanukkah by visiting Santa :)  Stella asked the big man for a dollhouse for her horses & unicorns while Maia asked for a toy egg.  A toy egg?  Not sure about that one.  We think she froze.  Stella immediately asked Santa how he can watch her to know if she is being "good". Not sure the Jewish girl is buying the Santa story.

Snowflake Lane 2012

The girls had a blast last weekend at Snowflake Lane.  They LOVED seeing the snow princesses, drummers, "snow" and the free lollipops.

Maia Rocks the Dentist

Maia had her first dentist appointment this week and was a true rock star!  She sat in the big chair all by herself and followed all the instructions.  She was so proud of herself and so were Mom and Dad!

Happy Halloween

The girls had an amazing Halloween this year between parties at school and a fun trick-or-treating party with friends!

Cooking mini pizzas!

Thank you to Auntie Mimi for the great mini pizza recipe!  The girls had fun helping to roll out the dough and making their own pizzas.

Seattle Children's Symphony

The girls had a great time today at a performance by the Seattle Children's Symphony.  They were excited to meet the performers, Lisa & Linda, after the show and get a picture together.  Then we all had a great lunch and gelato at Gelatiamo.  Not bad for a rainy Saturday.

Salmon Days 2012

We couldn't have asked for more beautiful weather for this year's Issaquah Salmon Days festival.  The girls enjoyed seeing the salmon, but they REALLY enjoyed the bouncy houses, warm roasted cashews & tap dancing.  We were passing through a parking lot and happened upon a small stage where there was a troupe of tap dancers.  The girls asked if we could watch.  They slowly edged their way up to the front of the stage and got to dance with the dancers.  They were in heaven.  They even made it on stage...video to follow shortly.

Open House at the Fire Station

 

 

The girls had a great time visiting our local fire station this weekend.  They got to drive the trucks, watch a fire being put out on the stove, try on the uniforms and eat cookies. Who can ask for much more?

Scottsdale

Stefano decided for his 21st birthday he wanted sunshine.  So we headed to Scottsdale and found plenty of it!  We all had an amazing trip....full of lots of laughs and smiles.  We spent most of the days at the pool....Stella must've gone done the resort waterslide at least 50 times.  We also were able to meet up with Melissa's friend Makenzie and her family.  The kids all hit it off and played at a train park and ate Mexican food together.  Definitely planning on Scottsdale for 2013.

Arts & Crafts

Stella is obsessed with anything arts & crafts.  Ask her what she wants to do and the answer is always "an art project".  Maia is finally starting to get a bit more interested & the girls were so happy to spend hours working on their masterpieces.

First Day of School!

Happy Labor Day!

The girls got to see the fruits of their labor at breakfast this morning...literally.  Last Friday we went berry picking with our friend Clara.  This morning we used the picked blueberries to make blueberry pancakes.  Yum!

Straight Hair

Someone wanted her hair straightened like Mommy.  She looks more like me now, right?

Victoria

We all boarded the Victoria Clipper last Friday for a fun-filled weekend trip to Victoria.  The girls loved the Clipper (mostly because they got to watch movies for 2 straight hours).  We had lots of fun exploring the city and visiting a petting farm.  We walked through the Empress and promised we'd do High Tea in another 10 years or so :)
