An Oldie But Goodie

Last June we had an amazing vacation to Lake Chelan with good friends.  I took a bunch of great photos which we thought had been lost on the camera.  Somehow we discovered they were all there tonight!  Above is my favorite picture of last Summer.

These days the girls are obsessed with hugging each other.  Too cute for words.

Thanksgiving Fun with Zio and Grandma

From pony rides to coloring, a trip to the zoo to getting hair braided by the master, Stella and Maia have had a fantastic Thanksgiving week with both Zio and Grandma.  The girls have a LOT to be thankful for!

New glasses

The inevitable finally happened:  Stella broke a pair of glasses.  Thanks to an amazing recommendation from our cousin Abby, Stella has brand new, beautiful purple (flexible!) glasses.  Did I mention that they are flexible?  Knocking on wood, but they seem amazing and dare I say.....indestructible? 

Maia and her Dolls

Maia is currently obsessed with baby dolls.  Between ones that we've had and a couple new ones she received for her birthday....she is in heaven.  Pure and utter heaven.

Happy Halloween!

Maia Turns 2!

Even more exciting than going to her first Club Med and attending her first wedding was the fact that Maia turned 2 last weekend!  She was so lucky to celebrate her special day with all the extended family.  She woke up in Dartmouth, went to bed in Boston, ate cupcakes and ice cream and had a great day.  We love you Maia!

Pumpkins!

The girls had loads of fun this past weekend at the pumpkin patch and picking out their Halloween pumpkins!

Visiting our Local Firehouse

Our local firehouse had an open house today and Stella and Maia had fun. They got to climb up on the real firetruck, explore all the equipment and even get a tour of the firehouse.

Stella's First Seahawks Game

Not sure what Stella enjoyed more: her first Seahawks game or the giant orange juice that Dad bought her.

First Day of Summer School

After a month's break the girls had their first day of summer school today. It was Maia's first day ever of school and Stella's first day in her new "big girl" preschool classroom.

Popsicles

We are all so happy that the sunshine is finally here and we can play outside in the backyard! Popsicles seem to be the hit of the week with Stella and Maia. Maia even shared a little of hers with Stella....although not sure she had a choice :)

The Soccer Stud

The girls had a great time with Grandma on their first trip to Cannon Beach!

First soccer class this past weekend + first pair of glasses = one very excited little girl!

Happy Father's Day!

We had a great family adventure for Father's Day this year! We took the ferry to Bainbridge Island where we played at the park, ate lunch and had yummy ice cream. A good time was had by all. Happy Father's Day to Stefano!

Just Hanging Around

Maia is obsessed with the bars at her gym class. She stood in this position for at least a solid 5 minutes.

Lake Chelan

What a fabulous weekend we had in Lake Chelan with good friends, great weather and lots of kids! Stella and Luna were attached at the hip for 3 days straight and Maia never stopped smiling. Stefano's highlight was doing 'Ring around the Rosie' with the girls.

Farmers Market

We enjoyed the sunshine and had a great time at the Issaquah Farmers Market this weekend. The girls danced to a live band, we bought delicious fresh bread, Stella got a lollipop and we contemplated buying a pet frog. Lucky for Stefano the vendor only took cash and we didn't have enough with us.

I posted all 3 photos just to show how nearly impossible it is to take one with both girls looking at the camera AND smiling. One day it will happen.
