Stella conquered the couch!

Success! Stella has been trying for the past week or two to climb up onto the couch by herself but has always needed a little help. Today, no help was needed! She was so proud of herself! I was very proud of her until I realized that now we need to learn to get down :)

Stella's first haircut

Stella had her first haircut this weekend! She was adorable before the haircut and she's even more adorable now. And dad thinks it's now easier to "style" her hair :) She did really well during the haircut and only cried at the very end. Guess she was done driving the tractor.

Our little walker

For the past couple of weeks Stella has been taking a couple of steps at a time and then falling down. Now she is cruising all over the place. She even braved the 1st day of the Nordstrom Anniversary sale with Mom so she could get her first official "walking" shoes (not in this photo). Just as Mom guessed, she didn't even find a pair of shoes on sale. Oh well, it was money well spent for our little walker!

What a great weekend!

Thanks to Grandma Suz and Grandpa Randy for a fun-filled weekend in California! Stella had a wonderful time visiting with her grandparents and taking lots of steps all over their house. She is getting more comfortable on her feet and really moving around. We had a great day at Tilden Park which included Stella's first steam train ride as well as a petting zoo. She seemed to really be interested by the black sheep. She can't wait for her grandparents to come visit soon in Seattle!

Happy 4th of July!

Thanks to Amy for hosting a fun 4th of July! Stella had a great time in the sun with her friends and especially with Amy's dog Lola. The adults had a great time eating this yummy flag cake I made...might have to be an annual tradition!
